Staff Council serves as the official liaison between staff and other university constituencies and is a recognized part of the university governance. Staff Council provides visible and proactive voice on issues having significant staff impact.

In order to fulfill this purpose, the Council does the following:

Staff Council membership consists of 12 non-exempt and 12 exempt voting members and six alternates. Members are elected to a two-year term, and are expected to maintain the roles and responsibilities outlined in the Staff Council ByLaws.
