Communications Committee Committee Description: Committee Members: Nancy Zawayta, Religious Studies, LPC, nzawayta, 5-7385 Committee Work Plan and Monthly Updates: Committee Responsibilities: Voice of Staff - The Voice of Staff (VOS) portion of Staff Council meetings is a forum to hear issues and concerns facing staff around the University. VOS submissions may be generated through the web submission page, emails to the Staff Council email box or to members, or at meetings. Approximately 15 minutes is devoted at each open Council meeting to VOS. Click here to link to the Voice of Staff pages. Web Site - The Communications Committee appoints a web master to update, maintain, and revise the Council web site as needed. As the primary vehicle for conveying information about the Council to the DePaul community, Council uses the web site to post meeting agendas, minutes, events, and activities. In addition, the web site houses an up-to-date version of the Constitution and By-Laws for easy reference. All-Staff Emails - The Council uses the University Email Tool to send emails to all full and part-time staff about meetings, elections, and other governance-related activities. Advertise Council Activities - The Communications committee works with the other standing committees to ensure Council events and activities are advertised via flyers, the News & Events pagelet, emails, and other appropriate channels. Post to the Staff Council “Channel” - The Communications Committee is responsible for all posts to the Staff Council channel in the News & Events pagelet inside Campus Connection. Posts to the channel include meeting notices, events, and other activities. Documents, Photos or other Information as appropriate:
