Communications
Ensures timely communication and raises visibilty of Staff Council through the website, newsletter and other initiatives.

Diversity
Advises and collaborates with key university departments such as University Mission & Values and the Office of Institutional Diversity on topics related to staff diversity, inclusion, culture and environment.

Effectiveness
Identifies opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness by evaluating Staff Council performance.

Fiscal Planning Advisory
Advises the President of Staff Council as he/she participates in University fiscal planning processes and committees.

Membership and Events
Facilitates all internal functions of the Staff Council, providing leadership, coordination, and organization for all related events/activities.

Staff Resources
Examines staff human resource issues including but not limited to, benefits and compensation, recruitment, orientation and public safety, while making appropriate recommendations to Staff Council and the Human Resources Department.

Steering
Comprised of the chairs of each committee, standing group or task force, the steering committee discusses issues impacting university staff and formulates the monthly council meeting agendas.

University Athletic Board
Recommend guidelines pertaining to the operation of the Athletic Department, advise the Vice President of Student Affairs and the Athletic Director regarding the athletic programs of the University and review all athletic policies and programs in light of the philosophy of DePaul and the regulations of any intercollegiate body of which DePaul is a member.

Explore options in benefits for and review compensation of DePaul employees.

University Committee on International Programs (UCIP)
Recommends to the president, provost, deans, faculty council and others policies and programs which could be incorporated into the university’s strategic planning. Furthermore, the committee identifies opportunities which assist the university’s efforts to further internationalize its programs and curricula.
