Election Personal Statement (2008):
I am ending my 2nd year at DePaul University. In my role, I feel that I contribute to the successful college experiences of our students. I supervise an enthusiastic staff that is excited about their work. We truly have the opportunity to impact lives on a daily basis. I also have great collegial relationships with both faculty and staff. From involvement on Student Affairs comities to co-instructing a course with faculty, I appreciate the many efforts of my peers to make this the premiere experience for current and prospective students. On of the main reasons for wanting to serve on Staff Council is to be a representative voice for my peers and colleagues. One of my primary goals would be to have more meaningful interaction between staff and faculty. I would also like to increase staff participation in Staff Council. In addition, I will ensure that all voices are heard at Staff Council meetings and discussions.
