Election Personal Statement (2008):
As an undergrad at DePaul, I was also a student employee at the School of Education for 3 years, after which I became a full-time Administrative Assistant upon earning my bachelor’s degree. Approximately two years after becoming full-time, I moved on to my current position in the Office of Academic Affairs - Faculty Development & Research as the Executive Secretary, now in my third year. My commitment to DePaul and its mission is deeply rooted in my personal experiences here, and I would like to take a more significant role in shaping its future by contributing my knowledge and skills outside of my regular responsibilities. Additionally, I believe it will be a great opportunity to become better acquainted with my colleagues throughout DePaul. As a new member, I will offer a fresh voice and perspective to the council. As a member, I will work towards making Staff Council more visible to my colleagues and contribute to the conversations affecting the policies that make DePaul a healthy work environment.
