Election Personal Statement (2008):
My name is Tammy Wideman and I am an Executive Assistant in the Office of Advancement & Development. My primary role in the department is to assist the Associate Vice President of Advancement Services and I recently celebrated my one-year anniversary with DePaul on January 29th. I still consider myself a newcomer to DePaul so I think that being a part of the staff council would allow me to learn more about the institution and the individuals involved in making DePaul the great school that it is. I realize the importance of the council and the roles that the members play as it relates to vocalizing staff concerns and issues and I would love to be given the opportunity to become a part of that “voice.” If I am elected to council, my goal would be to represent the staff to the best of my ability and work with the other council members to help create a positive work environment for everyone here at DePaul.
