Comp Time

January 2008 issue

So many staff jobs require evening and weekend hours. However, there is no official University policy on comp time. Can this issue be reviewed? My department is even inconsistent among its managers who grants comp days for weekend work and who doesn't.

Response: Please work through your UBCC representatives to request an analysis of the value to staff and university business processes of the implementation of university-wide policy on comp. time. Research will be conducted to determine a business need for such a policy.
