Chartwells Moving to Trayless:

May 2009 issue

Chartwells is trying to go trayless. Today I assisted in a New Employee Orientation where we took 19 new employees to lunch. All of them had to balance their personal belongings along with their hot soup, hot lunch, drinks, chips, etc. The trays were hidden at the cash register under plastic bags. I was told I could have one if I wanted, but they were trying to go trayless. I felt this made a very bad impression on our new employees, and creates an awkward situation for Chartwells customers. In a self serve cafeteria style lunch room, trays are a necessity. I would like to see Chartwells keep trays. Thank you.
