Leave of Absence Days: |
||
January 2007 issue Is a staff, full-time employee eligible for tuition reimbursement during a leave of absence? Response Source: Brad Price Response: If the reason for an approved leave of absence does not involve the employee’s own serious health condition, the employee remains eligible for tuition waiver. If the leave of absence does involve an employee’s own serious health condition, the employee must obtain written permission from his or her physician stating that attending classes at DePaul University will not adversely affect the employee’s health. With the physician’s written permission tuition waiver remain available during the leave. In the absence of such written permission the employee would not be eligible for tuition waiver until he or she returned to active employment.
