Dear staffcouncil - I've e-mailed you regarding this issue before. I continue to hope that you will consider adding at least the officers names or perhaps the entire staff council membership at the end of your communications. You are in positions of leadership and I can not understand why you don't want your name(s) associated with that leadership and service. I find nameless communication so much less credible!

Thank you for your suggestion regarding the Staff Council email communication. It is not that we do not want our names associated with the efforts of the Council. Rather, listing only the officer names might give the impression that only those three people are involved, and listing all 30 names might become tedious or overwhelming. Our intent, by signing emails as from “Staff Council,” is to project an image of a group working collaboratively together on behalf of all full- and part-time staff. Later this year, we will launch a redesigned more user-friendly and resource-oriented web site. We intend to take that opportunity to remind staff of who is serving on Staff Council and to direct them to photos so they can put names and faces together, and we will include the URL with each email sent.
