I think a very important staff issue for strategic planning is creating a formula for a staff/student ratio. HR has promised this for many years, beginning with Judson Mitchell. Has any attention been given to creating this formula for DePaul and to increasing staff positions in areas where staff are needed for quality student service?

Academic Affairs agrees. Staffing is and must be an integral part of any planning process. Historically, DePaul has grappled with the issue of appropriate student/staff ratios but given the complexity, no definitive resolution has yet been reached. As such, Academic Affairs welcomes the opportunity to partner with Human Resources in an institutional dialog.
